Zumba

Ditch the workout and join the party! This fun and easy to follow cardio dance class combines high-energy and Latin- infused music with unique moves and combinations that make you feel like you are partying on the dance floor. Easy to follow, and something everyone can do. We promise, exercise has never been so fun!

Zumba Step

Get your heart beating and your hips shaking with a 45- minute Zumba Step workout. This is the perfect dance fitness class that involves an aerobic step which gives you your cardio workout while having fun! This fun-exhilarating workout will have you shouting: I Amor Zumba (I love Zumba)!

Jazz/Modern (children/youth)

This class will blend elements of classical and Modern dance, such as freedom of expression, interpretation of music, principles of fall and recovery, control, breathing and balance. Students will be taught modern technique while being encouraged to express their emotions and develop artistry through movement. While it is not required, Jazz/Modern dance students are encouraged to take two classes per week to achieve optimum results in their advancement. Attire: must wear black leotard pants or shorts.

Ballet 1 (ages-3-12)

This class is designed to spark innate creativity and to begin to build a foundation for more in-depth technical training. The introduction of basic ballet vocabulary provides structure, improves coordination, and challenges the memory. Small classes and one on one attention allow even the youngest dancers to feel comfortable in the classroom environment. Watch your child’s confidence and appreciation for the art form grow as they master new skills and make new friends. Attire: must wear pink leotard tights and ballet shoes.

Hip-hop dance (ages 6-12)

This is a class for students who are new or returning to hiphop. Students will learn basic hiphop fundamentals, performance skills, develop strength, balance, & flexibility while cultivating self-confidence and presence. Each student will receive the individual attention they need whether they have had previous experience or are absolute beginners. Attire: workout dance clothing

Karate (ages 5-12)

The most important self-defense technique is self-confidence—and that’s exactly what your child will gain through participating in this class. Students learn fundamental karate blocks, punches and kicks in a positive, noncompetitive environment.

Body Blast / Carribean Flavor

Does music motivate you to exercise better? This is a fierce and fun cardio fitness class based on pop, R&B,carribean and hip hop music that will blast off with explosive cardio moves to improve your endurance, coordination, target your core, burn fat & calories and define your body beautifully! The workout will end with a cool down that will have you experiencing spiritual fitness through the mind, body and soul. COME EXPERIENCE: It’s about letting go of all your inhibitions and body blast into fitness!

Hip-Hop Cardio

Getting fit is all about mind over matter. Come and get fit with this empowering cardio workout where your ‘Your Fitness class turns into a party’ inner strength is unleashed and challenged! This high intensity workout will improve your endurance and get your body moving. It combines easy, yet effective cardiovascular routines to hip-hop music. You will experience your fitness level increase drastically!

Step Aerobics

If you ever wanted to take a step class, but felt intimidated because you didn’t want to look like you didn’t know what you were doing-you are not alone! With a step platform, you will learn the names of the moves and how to perform basic step movements, non-intimidating choreographed routines and how to perform them safely with the correct technique. Your coordination will be tested at times! No worries- you will be crowned Step Queen/King in no time. If you are ready to claim your title-step this way!

Chicago Steppin

Who said Monday’s are no fun? Come join us every Monday for Chicago Stepping which is an improvisational form of partner dancing that originated in Chicago and that is happen right here in Cleveland! You’ll be stepping in synchronization to musical sounds of R&B, Jazz, & Soul Music. Go to your next social event and show them you own the dance floor! No partner needed.

Line Dancing

Come party every Friday! Join other dancers, learn some fun line dances or just come for the great exercise. Whether you bring your heels or gym shoes, this non-step jam session will have you moving and learning all the old, new and requested line dances while having fun. If your body can move, you can line dance at Body Rocks! All levels and new dancers are welcome.

Piloxing

Piloxing is an increasingly popular workout class that’s part Pilates (the conditioning routine founded in the 1920s by Joseph Pilates of Germany) and part boxing, with a dash of dance.

Yoga

is a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation
